“Trauma isn’t what happens to us.
It’s what happens inside of us.”

Are you going through something that you were unprepared for?

Was it was unexpected?

Was there nothing you could do nothing to stop it from happening?

This is trauma.

While the quality of the experience is unique to each individual, there is always a need to recognize, release, and heal from the pain it caused.

If you’re here, you likely want that. You want to feel lighter and happier and more at peace. You don’t want to be caught in a cycle of managing overwhelming feelings. Perhaps you may have tried traditional therapy and spoken about the details of that experience with professionals, but you haven’t found the relief you have been seeking.

If I have learned anything from my own pain, my clients' pain, and the failures of our current system of mental health treatment, it’s that we are constantly misunderstanding the role of traumatic experience.

Your safety is my first priority. Together we will find a therapeutic approach that works for you and your unique experience.

I spent my graduate studies and internship work in a variety of settings from inpatient hospitalization programs to agencies and non-profit programs. I knew that emerging research and perspectives on mental health treatment were using experiential methods to help people modify neural pathways in their brain and create opportunities for lasting growth and change. I knew from an early age that the greatest healing comes from immersive, connected, experiences.
In 2016, I became an independent contractor for a Texas-based non-profit called The Lone Survivor Foundation. I introduced and built their first ever creative healing program and saw the powerful way different approaches to trauma treatment could maximize the benefits of therapy.
This retreat model pulled together the most cutting edge tools to help military service personnel, their families, and military sexual trauma survivors recover from exposure to trauma.
I joined some of the country’s most skilled mental health professionals to approach the most devastating of human experiences. And it not only changed how I support trauma recovery, but it changed my life.
My experience with The Lone Survivor Foundation supported my own healing from some life-changing traumatic losses. I learned how to help myself and others with effective and lasting support for symptoms of acute and complex traumatic stress.
There is never one *right* way to heal from it, but we can find your pathway forward together.
